Blackjack Basics
If you are interested in playing Blackjack for money, this article will help you get started right away. There are several basic aspects of Blackjack you need to understand before playing at real live tables and placing real bets. These basics are actually very common and you will understand them easily as soon as you understand the concept of the game.
Playing Blackjack requires you to make wager before the dealer start the round. After all players make their wagers, the dealers will then deal two cards for each player and two cards for themselves. The purpose of this game is to get as close as possible to — or exactly — 21 and win against the dealer’s hand. If you get a combination of an Ace and any Face card or a 10, you get a Blackjack. Depending on the payout ratio, you will be getting a large payout whenever you get a Blackjack as long as the dealer’s hand isn’t.
After the dealers check for possible Blackjacks, the game continues. You will be able to add another card to your hand (Hit), or stay with the card you are holding (Stand), double your bet for one additional card (Double Down), or split your hand if you have pocket pairs (Split). You can also surrender in some tables allowing you to forfeit the round and lose half of your wager (Surrender). After all players make their actions, the dealers will open their cards; they will Stand on 17 and Hit on 16 all the time. Hands are compared, and winners receive 1:1 payout.
